A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. THE COMING SHOW. A meeting of the general committee of the Hauraki A. and P. Association was held on Wednesday evening to make arrangement© for the-show, which is to be held on December 8 ncbxt. The president, Mr H. J. Hare, presided.
A letter was received fjrom Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., accepting the position of patron to the association, and also donating the sum of £5 torvards the prize funds.
Mr W. F. Johnstone was- appointed cattle steward in place of Mr Stembridge who will, be unable to carry out the duties this year.
A good deal of discussion was der voted to the- revision of the; catalogue in view of the necessity of arranging it for a one-day show. It wasi decided to have two rings going at the same time for judging horses, and by this mejans it was hoped to avoid the- deletion of any of the jumping events. Stewards were appointed to arrange for the paddocking of stock, and also for securing a supply of green fodder.
CANVASSERS
The following canvassers were appointed •'— Messrs- A. W. Maclarn and M. Crimmins (Karangahake, Waikino, Waihi, and Waihi Plains) : the president and secretary (Thames and Hauraki Plains) ; the president, secretary, and W. D. Nicholas (Paeroa). A final meeting of the committee to revise the schedule is to be held this evening.
