TURUA. ' FAREWELL TO MISS CHARTERIS. Advantage was taken last Monday evening of a small function organised by the Turua Tennis Club to raise funds for its forthcoming fete to bid farewell to Miss N. Charteris, who left on Wednesday last to take up wising at the Wellington Hospital. On Jtehalf of the members of the club .and itjhe people of the district Mr R. iD. Macftlow presented Miss Charteris with a xylonite hair-brush, comb, mull mirror. Songs-, gajnes and dances indulged in.
