DRUIDISM.
STAR OF PAEROA LODGE No. 18. LOCAL MEMBERSHIP GROWING. The local lodge of the Druids’ Friendly Society held its summoned quarterly meeting on Monday evening last week, when a large muster of members assembled to pay their dues and to assist in the initiation, of three new members. The wide range of benefits now available to members P calls for the keenest business attention of those interested. The meeting was adjourned tp Saturday last, when • seven more members were duly initiated by the Arch Druid, Bro. E. V. Slyfield, a.nd his officers. The addition of ten members in one week is a sterling testimony to the determination of thoughtful men to provide themselves against the contingencies of sickness or accident.
The Soldiers’ Club room is now the rendezvous of the Lodge, since the fire in March last which destroyed the lodge-room.
There is little doubt that .such a thoroughly established Order will continue tp grow, since the. security of benefits is undoubted. The North Island Grand Lodge is to-day an institution with close on half a million of invested and liquid funds.
