. « MATCH WITH CUMBERLAND SMALL SCORE BY HOME SIDE. On Saturday the New Zealand cricketers commenced a two-day*s match against a. Cumberland eleven at Whitehaven. In their first innings the home side was dismissed for 154 runs., and at the close of the day’s play the New Zealanders had lost one wicket for 117 runs. It is expected that the match will be continued to-day. * The remainder of play in the Lancashire match at Manchester, which was to have been continued on Friday, was abandoned.
On Wednesday the New Zealanders commence a two-days? match against Bedfordshire at Bedford.
