The Florence Nightingale Ist Paeroa. Girl Guide Company, and with them the Brownies Pack, held their first church parade at St Paul’s Church, Paeroa, on Sunday morning last. The company, comprising* 25 Guides and 20 Brownies, looked particularly smart as they paraded with Captain F. K. F. Emmott. Included in the congregation which filled the church Were the guides? president, Mrs W. Marshall, and members of the committee.
During the course of the . service, which was, conducted by the Rev. Weadon, the GuidesJ flag, carried by Colour-bearers L. ‘’Forrest and M. Holes, was solemnly dedicated. The ceremony was most interesting, and the inspiring address- delivered by Mr Weadon and the steady bearing of the Guides and Brownies made the service one long to he remembered. Special hymns and music selected from the Guides’ hymnal sheets were a feature of the service.
