AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. SIR LUMBERJACK. One can almost hear .the famous old lumberjack cry, hear the crash of forest giants, and smell the fresh tang of the air in “Sir Lumberjack,” which is the principal attraction to be shown tonight. SATURDAY’ NIGHT. THE LADY IN ERMINE. The war between Austria and Italy in 1810 forms the background of “The Lady in Ermine,” starring Corinne Griffith, to be screened tomorrow night. This was the war which inflamed all Europe with intrigues and plots. THE JUNGLE WOMAN. An added attraction to-morrow night will be the screening of Captain Frank Hurley’s much-talked-of picture, “A. Jungle Woman,” featuring a strong cast of English players. TURUA PICTURES. SATURDAY, AUGUST 20. To-morrow “The Midnight Sun” will be screened at the Turua Hall. This is the gorgeous, glittering drama of a Grand Duke and a dancing toy, with Laura La Plant, Pat O’Malley, and Raymond Keane in the principal parts and a cast of more than 500. It is the fascinating story of a beautiful dancer in the Russian Imperial Ballet who attracts a Grand Duke and a multi-millionaire, while she is in love with the young aide of the Duke. TUESDAY AUGUST 23.
“Hogan’s Alley,” showing on Tuesday night, is a Warner Bros, production, with Monte Blue in the role of a young Irish pugilist who sacrifices his chance for fistic honours, for the sake of the girl he loves.
