HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At our weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of choice- steer, cow, and heifer beef, which sold at slightly easier values' than those reached the previous week. There was a short market of fat sheep, and prices were firm. A small entry of fat pigs was submitted, chiefly unfinished sorts, which sold at late rates. Stores came forward in large numbers and sold at lower rates.
Beef.—Medium .weight good quality prime fat steers £ll Us to £l2 4s, lighter £lO 2s 6d to £lO 10s ; young and light prime steers £9 3s to £9 13s; extra good quality prime heavy young cows and heifers £9 to £9 18s, medium weight £8 3s to £8 13&; plain heavy cows £7 to £B, medium weight £6 13s to £6 18s, lighter £6 to £6 8s ; choice vealers £3 5s to £4 14s, light and younger good quality £2 17s to £2 18s. Sheep.—Prime ewes and wethers mixed sold to 33s 3d ; plain and light ewes. 2s; full to failing mouth ewes in lamb 21s sd; cull ewes in lamb 12s.
Pigs.—Light to medium baconers £3 to £3 2s=; fair porkers £2 16s to £2 18s, medium £2 Ils to £2 15s, light £2 to £2 5s ; choppers £2 19s to £3 17s ; sows in pig £4 to £4 10s ; large stores! 31s to 35s ; good slips to small porkers 25s to 28s ; best weaners: 18s to 225, small and young 7s to 12s.
