A letter was received from the Prime Minister at yesterday’s, meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council acknowledging receipt of a resolution favouring the imposition of a petrol tax for the purpose of providing revenue for main highways. The Prime Minister advised that the council’s representation would receive careful consideration.
