FINAL SENIOR MATCH. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. The final game in the senior competition for the McCullay Shield is to be played at the local Domain to-mor-row. The issue will ba fought out between the West Fifteen and the Suburbs team. Both teams have played fair football this season, and at this stage combination should be evident. To-morn w’s match is likely to be iv willing one, and as it is many yeafNk since the competition has been won by a club outside the borough boundary there will be no loitering after the kick-off. The match, which is timed to commence at 3 p.m., will be controlled by Mr D. G. McMillan. The junior fixture will be a friendly game between the East and West teams in order to give the selectors of the City team, which is to cojnpete in the Drysdale Cup competition, an opportunity of seeing all players, in action.

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEAM. The following primary school players are asked to be at the Domain op Saturday morning at 10.45 to play against the high school team: — M. Potter, W. Johnson, L. Johnson, K. Stembridge (Netherton); V. Heslop, J. Prendiville, Corbett, D. Welch, Avery, Bennett, J. Rare (Hikutaia); GleeSbn (Karangahake); K. Curtis, H. Vowles, G. Edwards, N. Wilson, G. Southby, M. Mayo, A. Hinchco (Paeroa). HAURAKI PLAINS COMPETITIONS. The last matches of the Hauraki Plains- Rugby Union’s inter-club competitions will be played to-morrow. The Kerepeehi seniors will play at Waitakaruru under Referee J. Reed, and at Turua the two junior teams will meet, Mr G. T. Davidson being the referee. As it is unlikely that West will travel to Ngatea the club has organised q benefit match for. a junior whose leg was injured early in the season before the insurance scheme became operative. McDUFF CHALLENGE CUP. PROPOSED CONDITIONS. The following proposed rules for conducting competitions for .the McDuff Challenge Cup will be submitted at a committee meeting of the Waihi Rugby Union on Monday night:— “This cup is for competition between the champion senior clubs of the sub-unions comprising the Thames Valley Rugby Union. (Winners of Waihi competition this year to be first holders.) “One challenge each year from each union. Losers not eligible to challenge again the same season. “Matches to be ployed on holder's ground. “Challenges to be accepted in order as received. “No player eligible unless he has played for his club in two matches prior to that club wirfping the championship. “Nett gate receipts to be property of the union controlling the game with the exception of 20 per cent., which will be allowed the challenging team.
“Referee to be selected by challenging team from list of local referees.”’
