A meeting of the Farmers’’ Veterinary Club at Ngatea on Monday afternoon lapsed for want of a ouorum. Card-players of Kerepee-hi are being well catered for at the present time. Fortnightly euchre tournaments are held in the hall to raise funds for the Church of England, and on the alternate week whist tournaments are held in aid of the Plunket Society. A small charge is made for admission and small prizes are given, while players also compete for season prizes.
