AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. WHISPERING WIRES. Anita Stewart leading woman in “ Whispering Wires, the principal attraction for to-night, has the role of Doris Stockbridge, daughter of a broker who is assassinated by telephone in a mansion of horrors. SATURDAY NIGHT. COMPROMISE. “Compromise,” starring Irene Rich, is to be screened to-morrow night, bringing to the screen a dramatic story of a woman’s struggle against sacrificing her ideals to the laxness of her world. THE SILENT LOVER. “ The Silent Lover,” which is also to be presented to-morrow night, is described as a thrilling story, dealing with the skirmishes between the Foreign Legion units stationed on the edge of the Sahaia and the marauding Riff tribesmen, who constantly harry European travellers and residents in those sections. TURUA PICTURESSATURDAY JULY 16. . “Say it Again,” showing at Turua to-morrow, lias Richard Dix playing a part, romantic and filled with delightful mannerisms, which is particularly suited to him. It is l a farce comedy which makes Richard the innocent central figure in an international intrigue. TUESDAY. JULY 19.
“Forbidden Paradise,” screening on Tuesday next, is a picture adapted from the stage play “The Czarina” and based on episodes in ‘the’ history of the Court of Catherine of. Russia. The secret love story of an Empress who lived for romance. There is a very powerful east, with- Pola Negri as the Czarina.
