CASES DEALT WITH.

Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, hy default was given in the following cases heard by Mr F. W. Platts, S.M., at the Paeroa Magistrate’s Court this morning

W W. Little v. K. Balsom £5 15* 6d ; same v. A- Spencer, £5 ,15s 6d ; S. J. Hedge v. Ellis Manufacturing Co., £2 10s ; C. W. Watts v. C. H. and A. L. Reid, £3 11s 6d ; same v. J. Odium, £5 17s -3d.

An order far possession of tenement, plus £32 10s arrears in rent, was granted M. D. Shaw from J. Patterson Paeroa, the warrant to be suspended for two weeks, An order for possession was applied for against W. Collinson, plus rent amounting to £6 12s. Defendant stated that he was a married man with five children, and had been out of work for nearly three weeks. He had paid his landlord rent regularly for the last eight years.

The magistrate : It seems to me you hfive been a veiy good tenant, and I must accordingly suspend the issue of the order for a period of six weeks.
