Commencing on Tuesday, the New Zealand cricketers played the Northumberland eleven at Newcastle-on-Tyne- In their first innings they compiled 476 runs, and the home side replied with 272. In the second innings Northudmberland was disposed of for' 201 runs, thus leaving the New Zealanders winners by an innings and three runs. This is the most decisive victory obtained by the New Zealanders to date.

Commencing to-day, the, visitors play a two days’ match with Scotland at Glasgow.
