FOOTBALL.

FIXTURES FUR TO-JJWRBOW. LOCAL TEAMS SELECTED. Followers of Rugby football should find plenty to interest them at the local domain to-morrow afternoon. The principal fixture will’ be the senior match East- versus Suburbs (Hikutaia), which is timed to commence at 3 p.m. In the senior competition the Suburbs team is in the lead by one point. In the event of East being defeated to-morrow Suburbs win the championship, but if East win it will mean that "West and Suburbs will play off for the final. The championship points are Suburbs 7, West 6, East 1, • The junior game, which commences at 2.30 p.m., is between the two town teams. East and .West. The teams participating are equal in regard to championship points, and a really goood game to-morrow is anticipated. The Suburbs junior team travels to Netherton to-morrow to play the local fifteen.

The third-grade match which it was intended to play against the Thames Physical Training team to-morrow will not eventuate. Arrangements are being made, to have played on the following Saturday, July 2. The primary school matches for tomorrow are Hikutaia v. Karangahake, at Paeroa, at 11 a.m., referee Mr JRackham ; Netherton v. Paeroa B, at Netherton, at 1.0.30 a.m., referee Mr T. C. Arnold.

Inter-club football will be continued on the Plains on Saturday next, the draw being: Ngatea v. Waitakaruru, at Ngatea; Kerepeehi v. Turua at Kerepeehi; Turua Bv. West (juniors), at Turua. In the school matches Kerepeehi will play at Ngatea aud Turua at Kopuarahi.
