HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—

At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday we had a fair entry o f stock of all classes. The values in the beef pens were unchanged. Two aiid 3-year store steers met with good competition. Fat sheep were again firm at advanced rates. There was also good inquiry for all classes of stores. Fat Pigs were a little firmer while stores sold at late rates.

Beef: Light fat steers £7 7s 6d; good quality prime heavy fat cows £7 5s to £7 12s 6d ( heavy prime £5 17s 6d to £6 10s, well done light to medium cows £4 Is to £4 16s, rough and plain cows £3 to £3 14s, unfinished £2 15s to £2 17s 6d ; forward conditioned 3-year steers £5 Is; good quality well bred 2-year. Shorthorn steers £4 10s to £4 Ils ; 18-months Shorthorn steers good, £4 ; 2-year Holstein steers £3 9s; good-framed well bred empty Hereford store cows £3 ; other store cows £2 to £2 10s; 2year empty Shorthorn heifers £3 Is ; 2-year in-calf Jersey heifers £5 6s to £7 l'ss; Holstein-cross in-calf heifers £4 5s to £6 ; good dairy cows and heifers at profit £8 to £l9. Sheep : Extra heavy.prime fat ewes 27s lid; forward conditioned, ewes 14s; forward conditioned 2-tooth wethers 21s 6d; fat and forward shorn B.F. lambs iCs Id to 16s Id; forward woolly lambs 17s 9d ; good stores 13s lid to 15s 3d ; F.M. ewes in lamb 13s 6d ; broken mouth ewes 8s 6d to 12s, culls 7s.

Pigs: Heavy baconers £3 8s to £3 14s, light £2 18s to £3 2s ; heavy porkers £2 14s to £2 18s, light £2 5s to £2 9s; slips 23s to 30s ; best we.aners 16s to 21s, others Ils to 14s.
