MONTHLY BOARD MEETING. ROUTINE BUSINESS. The monthly meeting of the Thames Hospitable and Charitable Aid Board was held on Monday last, the chairman (Mr W. E. Hal e ) presiding over the following: Messrs. J. W. Danby, W. J. Hall, J. E. Lange. A. R. Robinson, ,P. E. Brenan, C W. Kennedy, E. L. Walton, C. AV. Parfitt, W. S. Flett, and the secretary (Mr G. Tonge). FIRE PREVENTION AT HOMES. The Thames Borough Council advised that the board’s request for further cnosideration of the question of a water supply for fire prevention at the district homes, Tararu, had been referred to the incoming council. MEDICAL ASSOCIATION. The secretary. Patetonga* Medical Association, forwarded a half-yearly contribution of £25, in support of the resident nurse. Received with thanks. , HAURAKI BENEVOLENT SOCIETY. The Hauraki Ladies’ Benevolent Association forwarded a list of certified accounts, and asked for the usual donation of £lO. This was granted. COMMITTEES. The following committees were set up for the ensuing month : District Homes, Messrs Parfitt and Hall ; Hospital, Messrs Robinson and Kennedy.
