TENNIS.
The annual Auckland-Hauraki Plains tennis match at Ngate-a will not be played this year on account of the lateness of the season and the fact that the, Aucklanders have not yet finished their competitions. The matter has been the subject of negotiation for some months, but the Aucklanders have been advised that if they travel to Ngatea and are absent from their competition matches they will have to forfeit.
