FIRE NEAR TURUA.

FARMER’S HOME DESTROYED. PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING LOST. While Mr G. Brown was working at the back of his farm and Mrs Brown was at the Paeroa races their home, situated at Huirau Road, Turua, was totally destroyed by fire about 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The origin of the fire can only be a matter for conjecture, but it is presumed that sparks from the kitchen range were blown out by the gale. The building was a mass <xf flames when noticed by the next door neighbours and nothing could be done to save it, though a few odds and ends of furniture were removed.
