VALEDICTORY.
MB STANLEY HAMILTON. SOCIAL EVENING. tri-ar ,to leaving on transfer on promotion to the Bank of New Zealand, KwrNgaruawahia, Mr Stan. Hamilton, who has been a member of the local staff of the Bank of New Zealand for some years was formally farewelled. About a dozen of his colleagues and intimate friends assembled at the National Bank residence, were a social evening was held. Several speakers paid a* glowing tribute to thenguest, and regret was generally expressed that Mr Hamilton was being ! removed from their midst. As a slight token of the high esteem in which he was held Mr Hamilton was. called upon to accept a case of L°ewe pipes. In making the presentation Mr M. Poland referred in eulogistic terms to his good sportsmanship qualities and willingness at all times to cheerfully assist all those with whom he • came in contact. Good wishes-were r generally voiced f»r the good health and prosperity of the guest of the •evening. In returning thanks for the presentation and kind references accorded him Mr Hamilton said it was with regret that he had to leave Paeroa his boyhood mates.
