In addition tc resurfacing and sanding the thoroughfare, the sides have been built up and a sealed coating laid on the metal chips. The pat-holes and other undulations have been repaired and brought tc a level by t.he use of a cGld-mix preparation. The principle of cold-mix is that the bitumen is kept ductive for a sufficient length of time t.> work it into the metal in a. cold state. This system of patching has been found elsewhere to be highly’ satisfactory ami economical in its application.
