THAMES DEFEATS PAEROA.

LAST SATURDAY’S MATCH.

Good weather prevailed on Saturday afternoon, and there was a large attendance on the local green, where Paeroa played an inter-club match with Thames. Eight rinks took part, and the games were interesting and keenly contested. The visitors de'feated the local players by 71 points. Following are the results, Thames players being mentioned first in each instance :—

At the conclusion of the match the local president (Mr P. Williams), after expressing the pleasure that it gave the club to receive a visit from the Thames players, heartily congratulated them on their decisive victory..

The president of the Thames club (Mr Cameron) replied thanking the Paeroa club for its welcome and generous hospitality. His club always looked forward with keen pleasure to visiting Paeroa, and the match that afternoon had been thoroughly enjoyed.
