WARDEN’S COURT.
MARCH SITTING AT PA,EROA. The fallowing mining applications were dealt with at the March sitting c,f the Paeroa Warden’s Court, presided over by Mr F. W. Platts, Warden : The N.Z. Crown Mines, Ltd,, applied Tor 12 months’ protection on the Crown Mines Special Quartz Claim and also on the Earl of Glasgow S.Q.C. An objection was raised by Mr James Wilson, but a satisfactory agreement was reached and the objection was withdrawn. The Warden stated that he would recommend the application .to the Minister of Mines. i J. B. Morris, holder of a water-race license, was granted permission tp lay 200 ft. of 4in. iron piping between the Rose Cross-cut .and Earl of Glasgow L battery ;it Karangahake, Th© same applicant was granted a special machine site of five acres on the Earl of Glasgow S.Q.C. at the junction of Twig Road, Karangahake. Reginald Dixon and party were granted a certificate of reduction to two men for six months on Dixon’s Marato.to S.Q.C. A reduction of rent from 7s 6d to 3s 9d an acre on the same site for one year from April 1, 1927, was also granted the party. Adam W. McLarn was granted a residence site on section 25, block 9> Karangahake, area 36 perches, Surrenders of residence sites were accepted from Mrs Mary Rowley,, license No. 8692, Karangahake, and Ethel Shaw, license No. 974, as from February 18 last.
