FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

UNIQUE PROGRAMME PROMISED. FUNDS FOR DENTAL CLINIC. Interest in the welfare of the children must naturally meet with the sympathy of the public generally. The establishment of a dental clinic at Paeroa at which free dental treatment will be available for school children is a paramount appeal. To help in the raising of 'funds for this worthy gr cause .the Paeroa Athletic Club has interested itself to the extent of engaging the Wainoni Fireworks, Ltd,, to give a display in the Paeroa Domain on Thuisday evening next, March 17. Several set pieces will form the major portion, of the display. Some of these are of mechanical construction, being propelled by powerful in Are. The many items on the programme include a quaint Egyptian emblem consisting of several curicns lines, amongst which are s-me skilfully constructed peacock gerbes. Another new ntoving set is the chromatrope, and a popular inclusion is the representation of a waterfall. The aerial pieces will alternate with the firing of the Prince of Wales feathers, horizontal fountains, bouquets and gerbes, roman candles, and a large rainbow wheel. Flashing rockets and showers of golden rain will be seen, together with the xplosion of aerial shells and the release of vari-coloured stars. It is mentioned that set pieces, being erected on frames, will not be visible outside the domain, and a v.’ew of the various designs can only be obtnined by entering the domain. Following the display dancing on a specially prepared lawn to the music of one of the town’s leading orchestras Will add further delight to the evening’s entertainment. Preparations are also in hand for the serving of supper in a specially constructed bower on the grounds, Wireless programmes from Australian and New Zealand stations will be broadcasted. Fairyland lighting effects will brighten the domain, and, in addition to supper, ice creams, and sundaes, there will be sweets stalls, hoop-la, and other novelties.
