A striking illustration of the value of. thoroughly testing dairy cows for butter-fat production was afforded at the Ngatea stock sale on Thursday, when a line of heifer calves supported by the test sheets of their, dams was offered for sale. After keen competition the line was sold at exactly twice the price obtained for another line o,f calves which looked equally as good but, had not the support o'f records of butter-fat production.
