NGATEA STOCK SALE. A RECORD YARDING. .The largest stock sale held in Ngatea for some years was conducted on Thursday last by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., there being insufficient pens available for the cattle offered, Competition was keen and satisfactory prices were obtained, practically every animal being sold eit,her by auction or by private treaty. A big yarding of springers sold particularly well, and there was keen competition among the Auckland buyers, for the heavy yarding of beef. There was a total clearance of steers at prices ranging lip to £6 ss, and cow beef brought from £4 to £6 Is. Store cows brought from £2 t,o £3 15s. Good heifer calves from tested cows sold at £2 10s, others in appearance equally as good but not supported by records fetched only £1 ss. Lambs changed hands at prices ranging from 7s to Ils 6d, and ewes at 12s. Bulls brought up to, £6.
