GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. TUMBLEWEEDS. The unique stampede of settlers to stake claims on the Cherokee Indian Landslip between Kansas and Oklahoma in 1889 is depicted for the first time on t.he screen in “Tumbleweeds,” featuring Wm. S. Hart, along with the vigorous and beautiful Barbara Bedford, which will be shown to-night. THE NIGGER MINSTRELS, TURUA HALL, MARCH 10. On Thursday next at the Tirru'a Hall the Turua Concert Party are giving their initial performance in the shape oi an old-time nigger minstrel show. This ever-popular form of entertainment loses nothing of its mirth-pro-veking qualities by the introduction of modern numbers and gags. Rastus, Sambo, Moses, and Joe have gathered together a host of gags and quips dealing with topical ,and mirth-pro-voking subjects. The party will also put on a real side-splitting farce entitled “Ginger’s Day Out.” In this the members have the opportunite of a k lowing themselves 'full scope for an hilarious half-hour’s fun, and'take full advantage of it. Seats may be reserved at the Turua Hall Shop.
