Full details of the Lands Department’s offer to do certain works in the proposed district, which has now been definitely defined, have been received in writing from the chief drainage engineer, and the committee of settlers which is handling the matter has decided to circulate the necessary petition praying for the constitution of t.he district as jjuiekly as possible. The committee comprises Messrs T. McClean, A. H. McClean, C. Parfitt, A. Cleaver, and J. Motion.
