PRIMARY SCHOOL GAMES'.
A most exciting local match, m which the High School made a determined stand to retrieve its lost ground, was played in the domain on Tuesday afternoon. The high school boys rapidly ran their score up to 54, a figure which seemed impossible for. the primary lads to reach, but notwithstanding the loss O'f eight wickets for 9 runs, Barclay and Nicholls entered and grimly pulled up the total to 56, giving the primary team a win by 2 runs. On Wednesday afternoon three cars, Knidly placed at the disposal of the team by persons who are taking a keen interest in the boys’ recreation, conveyed the Primary team to Karangahake to play a return match. The bawling was excellent, Edwards taking 11 wickets and Arnold 9 wickets. The fielding, too, was good, but the batting collapsed and left Paeroa with a score of 53 against Karangahake’s 70. Messrs Sale and T. C. Arnold were the umpires.
