AWAITI DRAINAGE.
CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. OFFICIALS MEET ON FRIDAY. As the result of representations made by Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., and following on a visit of. the Under-Sec-retary of the Lands Drainage Department (Mr J. B. Thompson) to Netherton on November 12 last, a conference between officials of the Lands Drainage Department, the Public Works Department, Elstow Drainage Board, and settlers in the Netherton tand Aw.aiti districts is to be held on Friday at Paeroa. The purpose Of the conference is to try and arrive at a solution to provide a scheme of adequate drainage and flood protective works that will be equitable to all concerned.
