CRICKET.
— 1 * LAST SATURDAY’S MATCH. PAEROA DEFEATS TE AROHA B. Perfect weather prevailed for the second matches in the second round Of the Piako Cricket Association’s competition which were continued on Saturday. The local fixture was Paeroa v. Tq Aroha B, while Te Aroha A played Karangarake at Te Aroha and Morrihsville played Waitoa at Waitoa. The To Aroha B team found on arrival at Paeroa that it could muster only seven men, so the local club supplied four players and madei a complete team. For Te Aroha Sleep and Curtis bated well, and were, the only players ,to reach double figures, while of the bowlers Turner was in good form and captured six wickets,. C. Rolton made top score for the home side, and C. Farrow and G, Stack both bat.ted well. Edwards and Farrow were the mos r successful bowlers, and Paeroa won by 27 runs. Following are the details :—
