HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports having held the first stock of the New Year in the Frankton yards on Tuesday. There was a small entry of cow and heifer beef, but no steer beef, and prices were firmer t.han those reported at other late 'sales. A good yarding o'f fat sheep was submitted and sold firm at late rates. A fair entry of fat and store pigs sold at prices equal tjo last sale. Beef. —Fat heifers, £6 Ils to £7 15s, lighter £5 to £5 19s ; best fat cows to £7 Is, rough and plain £3 &s to £4 12s 6d. Sheen.—Medium weight 'fat wethers 22s 3d to 22s 6d, light, and unfinished 4-tooth wethers 21s to 22s ; prime heavy ewes 14s to 14s 3d, lighter 13s 3d to 13s 9d; prime heavy spring lambs 24's 7d to 25s 2d, medium weight 21s 9d to 23s 6d. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £3 10s to £3 15s, medium and light, porkers £2 5s to £2 12s, choppers £3 14s, to £4 10s, large stores £2 7s, we-aners and ’slips 16s to 255.
