FIGURES FOR PAEROA. INCREASE IN BIRTHS. The following vital statistics Tor the Borough of Paeroa for the quarter ended have beqn supplied by the local registrar (Mr W. E. Ward), figures for the corresponding period in 1925 being given in parenthesis : Births, 21 (12) ; deaths, 6 (6) ; marriages, 6 (0).
During the year there was an increase of 12 births, while the number of deaths also showed an increase, df 7. Marriages were fewer by 7. The following are the total figures, with t,hose of 1925 in parenthesis :—
Births, 98 (86) ; deaths, 22 (15) ; marriages, 15 (22).
