GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. v TO-NIGHT. THAT ROYLE GIRL. “That Royle Girl,” which is to be shown to-night, will give picture-goers a complete and post-graduate course in jazz. The keynote oY the production is jazz, its background is the jazz belt of Chicago; its story treaty of a vivid phase of our ultra-modern jazz life and its settings, which include several elaborate cabarets, are in harmony with the all-pervading spirit of jazz. At the Gaiety Theatre tp-morrow night will be presented for the first time the Ferris Jazzland Revue Company, who a<rrived direct’ 'from America per the R.M.S. Tahiti after a most successful tour of the United States. They are a company of all star performers who offer the latest in vaudeville and revue, including singing; comedy; dancing; and novelty, as well as the jazziest of jazz by their own jazz band. Plantation pastimes and melodies held a special place on the programme, and some remarkable work is given by the 'female impersonator. The programme is a diversified one that is calculated to please all tastes, whether young or old; jolly or melancholy. TURUA PICTURES. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 25. MONDAY, DECEMBER 27. “ College Days,” Harold Lloyd’s latest picture, showing at Turua on Boxing Night; tells the story of a yodng ■chap who goes to college and seeks Recognition as the most popular, boy at school. His. code.of! life is of such a generous nature that he becomes; *the subject of ridicule among his fellow students. Just when everything seems to turn against him he gets an opportunity to play in the season’s most important football game. What develops thereafter might better by told on the. screen, as the hilarious s.cenes; thrills; and suspense are almost indescribable. 1
