ORDER OF DRUIDS.
INSTALLATION AT PAEROA.
DISTRICT PRESIDENT’S ELECTION
The Druids’ Hall, in Bradley Street, was the scene of an enthusiastic gathering of Dr.uids oil Monday night, when the recently elected officers were installed in theij’ respective Chairs by the District President of No. 10 District, Bro. W., Turner. Visitors were present frpm the lodges at Thames, Waihi, Waikino, apd Te Aroha. Number 24 District was represented by D.P. Br.o. J. C. Scott. The four nominees for the office of District President were formally introduced, and they addressed the gathering, after which the votes, of Star df Paeroa Lodge were cast in the regular manner, and will he counted with the votes of other lodges in No. 10 District.
The lodge being closed in due order, a pleasant hour or two was spent in true Druidic harmony. Toasts of loyalty, honour, and goodfelllowship were interspersed with music, song, and story. Good cheer and heartiness marked the speeches of those proposing and responding to ,the toasts, cementing more closely the; spirit and purpose df this oflurishing branch of the friendly society movement.
