MOTORING ACCIDENT.
LIMOUSINE UIAPSIZES,
MISHAP ON WILSON’S ROAD,
A new twelve-seater limousine, owned and driveji by Mr H. K. Peterson, of Kerepeehi, capsized oh Wilson’s. Road yesterday morning. Beyond few scratches no one was, injured.
As Mr Peterson drove, the. vfthicle through to Auckland shortly after the accident it is not possible to. secure first-hand information as to the cause of the mishap. Apparently, while rounding the corner near Mr Stembridge’s house, a sikid occurred in the loose metal', the vehicle sliding off the crown of the road. There is a big drop off thq metal, and it appears that when the front wheel was brought back up this step-the jerk caused the vehicle to roll over sideways. Some 'of the panqs of glass were broken and some o'f the woodwork damaged.
With.the help of Mr C. Stembridge’s motor truck the vehicle was; righted, and it was then driven home under its own power. Mr Peterson hap only had the limousine since Wednesday last, and at the time o'f the mishap wasi on his way to Te Awamutu with his wife and family and a numbei - of Kerepeehi people.
