PAEROA RAINFALL.
NOVEMBER A WET MONTH. LAST YEAR’S FIGURES EXCEEDED. From statistics supplied by the local office of the Public Works Department last month was a particularly wet one, unseasonable weather having prevailed almost continuously. Rain fell on 20 -days during Novembqr, the heaviest fall being on the 6th, when 1.50 inches wer.e recorded. The total rainfall for the month was, 6.39 inches, which is, 3.23 inches in excess of the total for the corresponding month last year. The total rainfall for the eleven months of this year is 58.73 inches, which exceeds the figures in 1925 by 17.59 inches.
Friday, November 1X was the, hottest day last month, the thermometer on that day registering 63 degrees. The average for thq month was,'ss degrees. - '
The barometer reading averaged 29.25, the highest reading being on November 24, ■when it was 30131. The prevailing wind dur.ing November w a is north-westerly. Up to the present there has been no real summer worthier, and from the foregoing information it would appear that the seasons are changing, compared with years, gone by.
