PRESENTATION.
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH EVENING. MISS MURIEL WELLS HONOURED. The wand of the fairy godmother of “Wedding Bells” touched the Presbyterian Church vestry last evening and ■made the scene resemble a pqep into the dells, o'f Fairyland. Tendered by. her church friends, the occasion marked a farewell social to Miss Muriel Wells prior .to. her marriage. A model coloured paper aeroplane soaring ovei’ the assembly and a prettily arranged network of streamers and bells made a delightful setting for this happy evening. The time spent in games and competitions passed all too quickly, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present, Mr C. Townshend, on behalf of her church friends, presented Miss Wells with a crystal glass salad bowl. Mr Townshend said that they were Assembled to honour one df their keenest and most unselfish workers, and Miss Wells would carry away with hei' the heartiest good wishes of her many friends.
Mr C. Wells, on behalf of higi sister, thanked the gathering for its presentation, an'd said that his# sister’s days in the church had been most happy.
The decorations ajid dainty supper, in the hands of the Bible-class; girls, wqre the subject of favourable comment and expressed .the appreciation of the past services of the guest of the evening.
