Hundreds living in tents. Freight embargo. Merchants unable to procure stock. Stenographers making seven hundred per cent, in real estate deals and riding ,in Rolls-Royces. Thousands selling farms and flivvering to Florida. Millionaires, clerks, Brc adway stars, speculators, housewives, and chorus girls pouring in. Against this seething, roaring, infinitely colourful background Thomas Meighah has made ,a great comedy-drama. “The New Klondike” was written for him by Ring Lardner. Lila Lea appears opposite the star in this picture.
