GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES.

TO-NIGHT.

THE RUNAWAY.

.What practically amounts .to a record is William de Mijle’s achievement in directing “The Runaway,” which is to be screened to-night. As those who! read Charles Buck’s novel know, the story has to do for the most part with the Kentucky hills. And, even though it shthvs the life, of the mountaineers, there; isn’t a single revenue officer or whisky still shoiwn in the film. A quartette of fine players is featured.

SATURDAY NIGHT.

THE CODE OF THE WILDERNESS.

Against a picturesque background of cattle ranges, riverbeds, and mountains has been filmed a dramatic story of red-blooded action, entitled “The Code of the Wilderness,” which is to be screened to-moriiow night. The squatter learns the truth and pursues Masten. Ruth makes her peace with Rex and they aye, engaged. CLOTHES MAKE THE PIRATE. Though “Clothes Make the Pirate,’’ which is also to be shown to-morrow night, is comedy with a capital “C,” some of the scenes in mid-ocean, where pirate ships of old are seem in conflict, provide real thrills seldom associated with comedy.
