DRAINAGE BOARD.
TRIENNIAL ELECTION. TWO NEW CANDIDATES. Nominations closed on Friday ]®.st for the positions of trustees’ representing the five subdivisions of the Hauraki drainage district. All the retiring trustees were nominated, and in addition Mr J. Hamilton was nominated to oppose Mr R. Baker in. .the Central area, and Mr C. K. Fo(x wag. nominated to oppose Mr D. G. McMillan in the Te Kauri area.
Elections will be held on November 1, all ratepayers in the respective wards who do not owe drainage rates' be)ng entitled to vote. Messrs G. Gray, J. M. Mules, and R. H. Heappey were returned unopposed for the Northern, Turua, and Monganui wards.
