MOTOR AMBULANCE.
HOSPITAL BOARD’S PURCHASE. WELL-EQUIPPED VEHICLE. The new motor ambulance for the Thames Hospital Board arrived frpm Auckland yesterday, and is at present to be seen at the garage of Messrs Brenan and Co., Ltd. The vehicle ia>; a, two-berth ambulance mounted on a Dodge chassis and especially sprungBoth beds, are specially constructed and sprung by a new and improved method. The bed oh the right side when not required folds up, and is strapped to the wall, leaving in its place, a, comfortable cushioned seat for attendants or w r alking cases. The ambulance body was constructed at Auckland under the supervision of Mr P. E. Brenan, and a very creditable job has been made of it. Finished throughout with glosjsy-white enamel and the traditional red cross on either side and on the windscreen, the vehicle has a ne,at appearance .and should prove a decided acquisition when used on its errands of mercy.
