FETE AT TURUA.

SUCCESSFUL RESULT ATTAINED,

The Turua Tennis Club held its annual fete in the Town Hall on Friday last. The attendance was good, particularly during the evening, and the financial result was satisfactory.

There was a. cake and lolly stall ■under the care of Mesdames C. Scott and Clotworthy, and Miss Schmidt; a produce stall in the charge of Mrs F. C. Robin&c'n ; dips and fish-ponds controlled by Mesdames Charter is and Madgwick, while on the stage the refreshments were dspensed by Mrs F. Bell and Miss K Mules.
