THE RAINFALL.

. HAURAKI PLAINS GAUGING. LOW RECORD FOR MONTH. The rainfall for the month of September, as gauged at the Lands Department’s Kerepeehi office, totalled 2.35 inches, rain having fallen on 14 days. The average fajl for the month of September at Kerepeehi during the last .14 years is 3.65 inches, and only four times' in that period has the mointhly fall been below that recorded last month.
