SHORE LEAVE. “Shore Leave,” the ne.w Richard Barthelntess production, is the principal attraction to be shown row night . The picture is based upon the Broadway hit, ad portrays the romance of a harum-scarum young sailor, “Bilge” Smith, anil a little dressmaker, Connie Martin, a small New England seacoast town. Connie loses her heart at a chance- meeting, but “Bilge,” being a gob on one of the U.S. moves on with the battle fleet,Connie is unable to forget the young sailor and she. starts out to find him. Her quest provides the story of “Shore Leave.” . RACING LUCK. ‘‘Racing Luck”is a speed, demon, and is; also to be shown to-morrOw night. Its story calls for lightning fast thrills, and they come fast and heavy, holding one spellbound until the finish. The race in which Monty Banks'surprises the racing world -when he drives a high-powered racing car through a thousand deaths is. the piece de resistance, of “Racing Luck.” This speed display, is alone sufficient to give an audience great satisfaction. Yet the other sections of the story are speeded along in a merry comic way, creating laughter and building up an exciting love story all the way. Monty Banks keeps the fepeed pounding at high pitch.
