OBITUARY.
MR. SAMUEL DOUGLAS McMIKEN.
The death occurred at his latg residence, Epsom, on Monday, of Mr Samuel Douglas McMikeh. The deceased had been, up to the closing down of, the Komata Re,efs, actively connected with mining in Ohinemuri for many years. In 1908 he. was W.M. of Lodge Ohinemuri, and was also a P.Z. of the Ohinemuri Royal Arch Chapter. He .ha.d not enjoyed good health for many yearsv and twice, went to New York t'd undergo operations which required most skilful handling. He was of sterling worth, and his true and kindly nature won for him a deep, and lasting friendship with a wide circle df friends on the goldfields.
