WEEKLY REPORTS. RISING SUN COMPANY. Reporting for the week ended September 4 the manager of the Rising Sun Mine (Owharba) states that stoping operations were carried out with no change to announce. At the battery last week 63 tons of ore Wbre crushed, the value, being £5 2s 9d per ton. MAORILAND CONSOLIDATED. The manager of the Maoriland mine (Waitekauri) in his report For the week ended Septembei' 4 states that No. 4 level was* cleaned up and retimbered for a further 16ft, making a total distance of 564 ft. He expects to get thixaigh the break in about two webks’ time, after which fastei’ progress xvould be made as the ground ahead is much firmer.
