GAIETY THEATRE:—-TUESDAY.

The Pa.ero.a Beautifying and Improvement Society is holding a dance and euchre tournament at the Gaiety Theatre on Tuesday evening next. Handicapped by lack of funds, the evening is being arranged as a mea,ns of raising revenue to carry oh the work. . The society comprised mostly of a, fewi enthusiastic workers, has, carried on unobtrusively for many years, and has not received the recognition or support from the public which it should. The town is now progressing and developing on sound lines, anil there is much work to be undertaken by the society if the present rate of progress isi to be- maintained. A special, appeal is made to all those who desire toj see Paeroa hold its rightful plaice in the province to show’ their civic spirit and pride by coming forward and assisting with the work.

Handsome prizes have been donated for the winners of’ the euchre tournament, and .with special music and extra attention to the floor, dancers can be assured of an enjoyable evening’s pleasure at a moderate cost.
