HIKUTAIA.
TENNIS CLUB MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Hikutaia Tennis. Club was held in the dis? trict school on Monday last, the president, Mr V. Young, presiding.
At the commencement of the meeting Mr Yeung asked the members present to rise and stand silently in re--spect to the'late Mr S. Elliot, brother of Mr E. Elliot, Bushy Park, Omahu, •members of whose family are enthusiastic supporters of the Hikutaia Tennis Club. Mr S. Elliot was formerly a respected resident of the Hikutaia district. ' . ;
The secretary, Miss G. J. Gibb, rea.d the minutes of the. previous? .annual meeting, and Mr Young stated that the season 1925-26 had been very satisfactory. .
Office-bearers for the ensuing year were elected as follows : President, Mr V. Young ; Mr H. Morrison and Mrs E. Elliot; secretary, Miss G. J. Gibb; committee, Mrs J. Elliot, Misses M- R- Gibb, W. Knight, M. Elliot,, S. Morrispn, and Messrs. C. Elliot, S. C. Gibb and C. Murdock; representative on executive, Mr V. Young; sole selector, Mr J. Elliot.
