FATAL ACCIDENT.
TE AROHA GIRL’S DEATH!
PINNED UNDER CAPSIZED OAR.-
On Sunday afternoon, at Te Aroha, Miss Muriel? Monahan, aged 18, met with an accident, sustaining shock and severe bruises. .
In company with Mr Norman Young she was motoring towards Shaftes.bury. When nearing the end of the concrete road; at Te Aroha West, two horses moved on to_ the road. To ayoid a collision Mr’ Young quiAly, and the car overturned, pinning the girl underneath. In the fall the girl’s hat was, forced over her face,-making it difficult for her to breathe. Mr Young was thrown through the hood, but, being uninjured, was able to give speedy assistance.
Medical aid was summoned, and the sufferer was later removed to Beverley House. She appeared to be prd grossing satisfactorily, but collapsed oh Wednesday, death taking place early yes.terday morning.
