PAEROA DEFEATS KEREPEEHI.
THAMES MATCH NEXT SATURDAY.
On Saturday last the Paeroa ladies’ hotekey team journeyed to Kerepeehi to play a return match and defeated the holme team by three goals to on®. The game was fast and open throughout. In the first half Paeroa had matters their own way, and Miss V. Shand registered two good goals. On resuming after half-time the home team attacked frequently, and only the solid defence of the visitors, saved from scones being registered. Towards the closing stages the Paeroa forwards carried into Kerepeehi’s circle, where Miss, V, Shand shot her third goal. Miss Myrtle Courtney registered the only goal for Kerepeehi. Mr Learning was referee.
The following have been selected to represent Paeroa in an inter-club match with Thames, at Thames, on Saturday next: — Goal-keeper, Miss B. Gibb ; backs, Miss.es N. Finnie, H. Slhand, F. Shaw ; halves., Misses G. Finnie, P. Treanor ; forwards. Misses B. Bunting, M. Tierney, V. Shand, A. Morland, C. Swann. Players are requested to assemble at I the post office at 1 p.m.
